Autumn is in full swing, which means that holiday season is just around the corner. While most couples prefer to tie the knot in the summer, we think there’s just something magical and romantic about the fall and winter season – which makes it great for weddings!
Brides planning on having a cold-weather wedding will need to consider ways to keep warm, while still looking gorgeous. Luckily enough, it’s easier than you think! We love the cozy and unique touches that scarves, boots, and cardigans can bring to a bride’s wedding ensemble.

We can’t get enough of this classic look! Fur shrugs and boleros are the go-to style for brides seeking a little extra warmth on their wedding, and for good reason. It instantly makes any bride look like an ethereal winter princess, and adds a hint of glamour as well. Guaranteed, with a hint of fur, you can say goodbye to “Brrr”!

Okay, can we obsess over this bride’s knit sweater and scarf for just one second? We wouldn’t have thought it, but it looks amazing with her wedding dress! If you’re looking for a more casual and cozy style for keeping you warm, look no further than knit accents. Whether it’s a scarf, mittens, or a headband (I couldn’t find a good picture of a knit headband, but it would be an adorable touch), knit accessories will keep you as warm as your love.

Cardigans are a classic fall sweater – and could be the perfect pullover with your wedding dress! Depending on your wedding colors, you can mix and match different colors and patterns to complement your palette. We think adding a hint of sparkle with a sequined cardigan would be a perfect festive touch for the holiday bride, as well.

Many brides have opted for boots over more the more traditional wedding heels or flats. We definitely recommend boots for cold weather brides – not only because they keep your toes oh-so-warm, but also because they match the season perfectly! Pair your boots with cozy knit socks for some extra heat to the feet. Maybe get a pair for your groom in case he gets cold feet too…
