This November, history was made when three states, Maine, Maryland and Washington, legalized referendums that would allow same-sex couples the right to legally marry. In Minnesota, voters struck down a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage during the elections as well. Emotions ran high on election night as people everywhere celebrated marriage equality – and of course, some great, emotional photos were taken to commemorate the night as well!

We believe the right to love and marry the person of your dreams should be available to everyone – and these photos are living proof of the power and importance of marriage. I’ll admit I got a little choked up while searching for these touching photos of same-sex couples on election night. It’s hard not to be moved by these amazing celebrations of love, joy and equality.
