Hi all! My name’s Amy and I’m the creator of Cupcakes & Couture, a lifestyle blog featuring posts on baking, shopping, DIY projects, interior design, gifts and more! I’m excited to be swapping blogs with Wedding Party today and sharing my engagement party gift guide with you all.
At age 26, I’m at the point in my life where my friends are starting to get engaged which means there are lots of celebrations to attend! It’s easy to shop for your girlfriends’ bridal showers and to pick out a gift off the couple’s registry for the wedding, but choosing a gift for the engagement party can be a bit tricky. While it’s always appropriate to bring a bottle of champagne, a bouquet of flowers or a gift card to their favorite restaurant, I think it’s fun to gift something a bit more creative and personal. I also think it’s important to keep the engagement gift cost down – after all, you’ll be buying at least 2 more presents on top of spending money to attend the wedding (and maybe even the bachelorette party!)
Here are a few of my favorite gift ideas under $60 or the engagement party – which is your favorite?
1. Kate Spade ‘His Glass& Hers’ Hiball Set – $50. Start their barware collection off right with this cute etched set from Kate Spade. Shopping for a same sex couple? No problem – there’s a ‘His & His’ and a ‘Hers & Hers’ set available too!
2. ‘It All Began’ 8×10 Customizable Print – $19. If you know where the happy couple met, personalize this print with their story, names and wedding date in a variety of colors and fonts. Then take it to your local framing store to get it matted and framed for a really special gift!
3. Haymarket Designs Monogrammed Playing Cards – $55. With tons of options available, it’s easy to create a personalized card set that will suit the couple’s tastes! For a modern monogram, start with the fiancee’s first name initial, put the couple’s shared last name initial in the center and end with the fiance’s first name initial.
4. Custom Wedding Planning Book – $44. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but this cute book with a customizable cover is chock full of worksheets, checklists and logs to help keep the couple organized while they get everything ready for their special day. I love that there are personal pages to share the details of the engagement, wedding and more so the book can be a keepsake for years to come.
5. Swanson Vineyards ‘Thrilled For You’ Red Wine - $25. This fun wine bottle says it all and will make for a nice keepsake even after they’re donedrinking it! {You could also easily make a DIY version by spraying some chalkboard paint over the label of their favorite wine andwriting your own message with chalk.}
6. ‘Battle of the Sexes’ Board Game – $20. As a newly engaged couple, they’re going to be doing a lot of celebrating with friends and family! Get them a fun party board game to play when they have guests over – there are tons of great options out there so you’re sure to find one they’ll like.
7. Milk & Honey Luxuries ‘I do, Me too’ Forks – $25. These adorable silver stamped forks are perfect for them to use at dinner on their wedding day!
8. Pottery Barn Square Decanter with Monogram – $36. This vintage inspired decanter adds a touch of old world charm to their bar cart or dining room table and the addition of their shared initial makes it uniquely theirs.
