The Weekly Roundup: Edition 5 of the best wedding pins, ideas, and inspiration

I can never believe it when Sunday rolls around again. Where did the weekend go? Where did the whole week before it go?! Oh well — at least I can always look forward to sharing some amazing wedding inspiration with you lovelies. It really is be best part of my Saturday night looking through all the crazy wedding things that happened this past week! So without further ado, here’s the best of the wedding best from this week on the web.

Best style find

I love the recent rise in delightfully stylish and totally unique bridal looks — we’ve all seen that photo of the bride in a plaid and tulle wedding dress, and I also have loved seeing photos of brides and in cardigans and blazers on Pinterest as well. This chic look is totally unique so far, though — Diane from In Her Stilletos is rocking a chambray shirt with an adorable tulle skirt, which could be the perfect look for casual bride having a picnic or city hall wedding.

Wedding WTF of the week

What does your guy think of your wedding Pinterest boards? Well, one man’s interpretation of wedding inspiration boards on Pinterest caught our eye this week. This anonymous male (or female? Who knows?) has put together a hilarious Pinterest account with board titles like “The Studliest Style for Grooms” and “Incredibly Masculine Wedding Details”. Oh, and you should definitely read the captions on his pins too. More on this topic to come later this week — I’m writing that blog post as we speak!

Most exciting news!

The most exciting news of the week for us here at Wedding Party is the release of our brand new updated Wedding Party 2.0! Along with totally redesigning the app and adding albums for our users, we were also featured in the App Store under “New and Noteworthy”. Say WHAT?! It was awesome. If you haven’t checked it out yet, download Wedding Party on your iPhone or read more about the update here.

Coolest wedding idea

What a cheap thrill this idea is — and by that I mean you’ll be thrilled by how cheap this seating chart DIY will be for you to make! (Har har har…) Here’s the deal. Go to your local home depot, and when the people in the paint section are looking away, take a bunch of paint swatches in your wedding colors. Cut them up, get out your white Sharpie, and voila! Insta ombre seating cards.

Adorable Etsy find

I don’t know what it is, but I’m a sucker for stamps. Every time I’m in a PaperSource, I strangely can’t seem to tear myself away from the adorable little wood and rubber beauties in the sales bin. But alas, I can never find a great reason to buy the stamps.

However, if you’re planning a wedding, you have a GREAT reason to buy stamps. On Etsy you can find calligraphers who’ll make your own custom return address stamps, which are great for your Save-the-Dates, Invites, Thank Yous — pretty much any type of paper good you’ll need to send. They’re pretty, you can use them later, and it’ll save you hours of inking your own return address. Our fave calligrapher on Etsy right now is Angelique Ink, but there are many many options out there for you to choose from!
