When you start looking for a wedding dress there is always that one designer that catches your eye. You see dresses on Pinterest boards that you fall in love with and they always happen to belong to that one designer. I have to admit that Paolo Sebastian is that bridal brand that really makes me swoon. Paul Vasileff is the Australian Designer behind Paolo Sebastian. His work and attention to detail in all of his gowns are incredible, and his work in his most recent collection is no different.
Sirens of the Sea, Paolo Sebastian’s 2014-15 bridal collection is absolutely stunning. It is whimsical and ethereal while still remaining effortlessly bridal. These dresses are perfect for a romantic, rustic, or whimsical wedding. They would also be a great addition to an oceanside destination wedding.
Paolo Sebastian is based in Adelaide Australia, which makes it hard for anyone in the United States that wishes to get married in one of his gorgeous designs. There is nowhere to try his designs on in the U.S. before you buy, although there are a few websites where you can purchase some of his older designs. Paolo Sebastian does offer skype fittings for international clients, and will ship the wedding dress directly to you. The downside of this is never getting to see how to gown looks on you before you buy it, which is definitely scary with expensive couture gowns. If you have the budget you could always make a trip to Australia to see exactly how the gowns would look on you. For those of you that don’t want to splurge with the trip, be sure to try on gowns at home (and know what looks good on you) before committing to one of these beautiful dresses!
All of their gowns are hand-crafted couture, made using silks and hand woven laces. The prices of gowns can vary depending on lace work and construction. Bridal gowns begin at $6,000 (AUD), with the average price ranging between $7,000 and $12,000 (AUD). They require a minimum of six to eight months notice in order to design, fit and construct a custom gown. They definitely aren’t the most budget friendly bridal gown option, but they sure are swoon worthy!
