Sunny weather and seaside afternoons — they’re not that far off with Memorial Day just on the horizon! Today we’ve got an elegant coastal wedding to share with you all that will honestly make you feel like you’ve transported to a gorgeous summery afternoon, in a celebration that was filled with love and laughter.
Shannon and Ryan were married at the Semiahoo Resort in Washington state, on the shores of their beloved Puget Sound. Shannon’s vision of an elegant coastal wedding with nautical details came to life with lovely minimalist details that included navy, stripes and just a hint of sparkle. A few words from the bride about the special details of their day:
“We wanted to make sure every aspect of the day was personalized- I DIY-ed pretty much everything, both to keep costs down and because we wanted to incorporate special personal details. Our tables were named after the Washington State Ferries, a nod to the many ferry rides Ryan and I had endured during the long-distance portion of our relationship. Ryan’s special request for the day was the ice cream bar that accompanied our cupcakes. Our guest book was my favorite of our special details; we ask our family and friends to sign the Seahawks flag that now hangs in our living room.”
